Emergency Management

The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office obtained National Weather Service StormReady recognition, indicating that certain criteria in preparing for and warning of weather-related emergencies have been met. The RCSO wants to make sure that residents and business owners are prepared in case an emergency occurs. The links below will help families and businesses get started and help everyone stay organized during an emergency:

The RCSO has contracted for an emergency notification service with CodeRed®, which notifies thousands of residents via recorded, email and text messages. Residents receive telephone messages automatically on publically listed telephones, or may register an email address or cellular telephone. Citizens may register at no charge by clicking HERE.

Emergency Management Agency

Sheriff Wigington serves as the Conyers-Rockdale Emergency Management Agent (EMA). Captain Myra Pearrell with the Sheriff’s Office serves as the EMA Deputy Director. Residents can follow EMA on Twitter during severe weather or in other emergencies.
