The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office obtained National Weather Service StormReady recognition, indicating that certain criteria in preparing for and warning of weather-related emergencies have been met.  The RCSO wants to make sure that residents and business owners are prepared in case an emergency occurs. 

The RCSO has contracted for an emergency notification service with CodeRed®, which notifies thousands of residents via recorded, email and text messages.  Residents receive telephone messages automatically on publically listed telephones, or may register an email address or cellular telephone.  Citizens may register at no charge by going to the Sheriff's Office home page and clicking on the CodeRed logo.
