ROCKDALE COUNTY – On February 18, 2025, at approximately 5:20 PM, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) responded to a welfare check in the 1100 block of Bethel Road, Conyers, GA. The responding unit attempted to make contact with the possible missing person, however, to no avail.
On February 19, 2025, RCSO received additional information which led investigators to believe that there was potential foul play associated with the reported missing person case. RCSO personnel began investigating the case and secured enough evidence to label Lee Daffin as a person of interest. With the help of local agencies, Daffin was apprehended in Stephens County after a brief vehicle pursuit.
Further investigation has led RCSO to the discovery of a body. The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is still in the process of obtaining confirmation as to the identity of the body. This is an active and ongoing investigation. As information becomes available, updates will be provided.
Lee Daffin is facing the following charges:
·Aggravated Assault (F)
·Terroristic Threats and Acts (F)
·Additional charges may be added based on the results of the investigation.
