ROCKDALE COUNTY— Today around 2:15 PM, an off duty Rockdale County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a shooting in Newton County. The preliminary investigation indicates the deputy returned fire at a male suspect who had discharged multiple rounds within the area.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will investigate this incident.
